Paula R. Lerner - Managing Partner
Paula Lerner is the founder and managing partner of ntb group, LLC. Ms. Lerner has over 30 years of experience in project management, instructional design, and development of complex training solutions.
She has developed and conducted EOC training for Indian River County FL in 2006 and 2007 and Brevard County FL in 2008-9. Ms. Lerner has numerous professional certifications in Emergency Management, COOP planning, business continuity and is a certified CERT trainer.
Previously Ms. Lerner was Vice President of Operations and Training at TIS, an Inc. 500 company, and the manager in charge of international training for Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company’s proprietary risk management system. Ms. Lerner has served as the American Red Cross government liaison in Indian River County and ran the ESF 6 desk in the county EOC during activations.
She is currently the EOC liaison for SAFER Indian River during EOC activations.
She lives in Vero Beach and can be found driving along A1A in her white Mazda Miata.
Paul G. Seldes - Director of Operations
Paul is an experienced emergency management and homeland security planner, consultant, strategist, trainer and developer with 30 years of experience in the public safety, emergency management, technology, and financial industries. He is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) as well as a Florida Professional Emergency Manager (FPEM). He is a Florida Master Emergency Management Instructor and a CERT and Red Cross instructor.
He has extensive experience in emergency management planning and operations and has developed EOC operational plans, CEMPs, EOP and other plans for many jurisdictions. He has extensive experience in large scale event operations and planning that includes: the 2008 Superbowl and 2008 Daytona 500 and responses including Hurricanes Jeanne, Frances, Katrina and Gustav. He also has developed and delivered operations training for federal EOC and emergency response agencies. He has extensive, hands-on experience with all aspects of NIMS and ICS and is a DHS certified ICS/NIMS instructor. Paul also has extensive experience working with, training and implementing E Team and WebEOC systems.
Paul is also a survivor of and responder to the Sept 11, 2001 attacks in New York.He spent 9 months working at Ground Zero.
Paul is a member of the Florida Emergency Preparedness Association (FEPA) and holds an FPEM (Florida Professional Emergency Manager) certification, and a CEM (Certified Emergency Manager) certification from the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM). He is also a reservist with Florida’s State Emergency Response Team (SERT) and a Dept of Homeland Security reservist..
He is board member of SAFER Indian River County and an elite scuba diving instructor.
